Resources for the LGBTQIA+ Community

As a member of the Queer community I know how important it is to have support and know you are not alone.

Here are some local and national resources for the LGBTQIA+ community. (All organization names are clickable links).

  • The Trevor Project is for young LGBTQIA+ people with crisis counselors available 24/7 online, text or call.
  • Trans Lifeline has a peer support hotline run by and for trans and questioning people.
  • Valley Youth House is a local organization that has everything from homeless shelters for LGBTQIA+ youth to camp & in school programs to mental health & substance abuse assistance.
  • The Rainbow Room is Planned Parenthood’s Keystone’s LGBTQ+ & Allies youth center in Bucks County. Planned Parenthood also now offers telemedicine gender affirming care.
  • Plume offers safe, simple, virtual access to gender affirming hormone therapy. Gray has personal experience with them and highly recommends.
  • GLSEN Bucks County is the local chapter of a national organization that fights for every student’s right to a safe, supportive education. 
  • Rainbow Library sends LGBTQIA+ affirming K-12 books to schools in the US.
  • NAMI Bucks County has a more extensive list of resources especially for mental health and crisis assistance.
  • LGBT National Help Center has hotlines for youths, seniors, coming out and a general crisis line.
  • Point of Pride is a non profit that provides financial aid and direct support to trans folks in need of health and wellness care.
